Giveaway #3: Where the products benefit FOSTER CARE - Feather Refuge & Ransomed Cuffs

Welcome to week three of the Foster the Family month of giveaways! I’ve loved hearing from so many of you about how much you love the mission and products of these organizations, and I’ve especially loved hearing of your own support of them (aka buying beautiful stuff!).

This week’s giveaways are especially near to my heart for two reasons. First, both companies benefit foster care. I’ll stop there because you know how I just go on and on when foster care comes up (if you’re curious, you read some of my rantings here or here or here). Second, these “companies” are just foster mamas, each with a gift and a heart of gold. There is just something so exciting to me about a mom on a mission, using the overflow of her mama’s heart and the spare minutes of her day to love others. There’s also something so exciting about any person who uses their creative talents (what so many others use to point to themselves) to bring attention to others in need. You guys, burning it all up for God and for others is a beautiful thing.

(Side bar, friends: I can't hold it in. This blogging thing is just a gift from the hand of God to me. Being able to sit on my couch while my babies sleep upstairs and use any voice I have to advocate for others brings such joy to my heart. The solidarity I feel with the moms behind Feather Refuge and Ransomed Cuffs is so thick. I know the feeling of “I just want to do more” and the gratitude when God drops the “more” into your heart.)

Feather Refuge produces super cute shirts for you and your littles...like you could walk into H&M and find these shirts kind of cute. The difference between Feather Refuge and H&M? Feather Refuge donates proceeds from each shirt to orphan care organizations and turns you into a mini orphan care advocate just by wearing it. Learn more about Feather Refuge and the organizations they benefit, The Forgotten Initiative, which is THE Christian foster care organization, and PSALM 82:3, which cares for children in Liberia. These organizations are worthy, as well as dear to the mom behind Feather Refuge, who's both a foster mom and aunt to two kiddos adopted from Liberia.

Ransomed Cuffs creates beautiful cuffs from re-purposed leather (Green? Check. Add another cause to the list.). The creative (resourceful, giving…) mama behind Ransomed Cuffs takes old belts and turns them into beautiful, wearable works of art. As her site says, she’s “motivated by love of the Great Redeemer who has done this for us: ransoming our broken lives and re-creating us into something beautiful.” Guys. This. Ransomed Cuffs gives half of all profits to Olive Crest which serves the foster care community in a really important way (I wish Olive Crest was HERE in my town!).  These cuffs are pretty and edgy and all-around lovely, even before you consider the purpose behind them.

The giveaway is going to work a little differently this time, so pay attention!  Here are the details:
